Rivermoore Park
RIVERMOORE
PARK Hours of Operation: Please consult the Rivermoore Park website for current dates & times. ) The pool will be closed during inclement weather. On rain days, one lifeguard will remain at the pool until 5:00 pm unless otherwise instructed by the Board of Directors or Pool Committee. If weather is still unsuitable for swimming, the pool will remain closed for the day. Gwinnett County Board of Health requires that the pool be closed for 24 hours and a shock treatment of chlorine be applied if fecal material is discovered in the pool. We require parents to place special swimming diapers or rubber swim pants over the swim diaper on toddlers or children that may not be completely potty trained. Gwinnett County requires ten minutes (10) of each hour be reserved as a rest period for the lifeguards. The lifeguard is off duty and should be allowed to rest. Please do not ask the lifeguards for assistance unless it is an emergency. During this ten (10) minute rest period, no one under eighteen (18) years of age will be allowed in the pool. POOL FURNITURE A portion of our pool furniture has been replaced this year due to damage. Please DO NOT ALLOW children to tip the furniture over to make forts. It permanently scratches and ruins the finish on the furniture. Please make your children aware this will no longer be allowed. We will all benefit from keeping our pool furniture in the best shape possible. Also, please lower umbrellas after use. ELIGIBILITY The pool is for the exclusive use of Rivermoore Park residents who have paid their association fees, and their guests. If any Rivermoore Park Resident observes a non-resident using our pool, please ask them politely to exit the premises. If they refuse, please notify the lifeguard immediately. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a supervising adult 18 years or older at all times. We request the number of guests be kept to a minimum for each visit. Supervised children 17 years of age or under will be limited to two (2) non-resident guests. At no time shall any homeowner entertain more than four non-resident guests. If anyone is not a resident or a guest of a resident, please point this out to the lifeguard. POOL GATE LOCK There is a push button (code available upon request) gate lock at the main entrance at the pool. The goal of the lock is to stop non-residents from having free access to our pool. Do not share the lock code with anyone other than your immediate family members. In addition, the lock will ensure the security of our young children by either stopping them from entering the pool deck without a parent and to stop them from exiting the pool deck area without a parent. Do not prop the gate open or the security of our pool and children will be compromised. From time to time the combination codes will be changed and you will be informed of the new code prior to the change. DISCIPLINE The following Rivermoore Park Pool Discipline Policy will be strictly adhered to by the lifeguards – no exceptions! If conduct is unacceptable, the lifeguard will issue a warning. If a second warning is required, the person (s) being reprimanded will be required to sit out the next swim period and may be asked to clean up around the pool during this period. This will be at the discretion of the lifeguard. If unacceptable behavior persists and a third warning is issued, the individual (s) will be sent home and will not be allowed to return until a permission slip, signed by the parent, is returned to the lifeguard. However, the individual may not return to the pool the same day. If an individual becomes a “repeat offender” of the pool rules, then his/her parents will be contacted and pool privileges may be revoked for an extended period of time or indefinitely. The Board of Directors and Pool Committee reserve the right to refuse pool privileges to anyone who continues to violate the pool rules. If an individual is caught vandalizing any pool property, that person will be removed immediately from the pool, his/her parents contacted and the individual’s pool privileges revoked indefinitely until restitution is made for the damaged property. The individual and his/her parents/guardians will be required to discuss the seriousness of such behavior with the Board of Directors and the Lifeguards. Lifeguards have the authority to enforce all rules and regulations and to supervise the general conduct of all persons in the pool area. Lifeguards have the full authority to maintain order, reprimand, discipline, restrict and evict any individual not complying with the rules and regulations, both written and unwritten. The Rules
All other rules are posted in the pool area. These rules were developed to ensure a safe and fun summer for all of us. They will be enforced.
